17th October (Friday) Birds of Prey Photography
Workshop
Working with Mid Wales Faclonry from their base near Welshpool,
professional photographer Mark Sisson runs a programme of
location-based photography with many different species including
Red Kite, Kestrel, Peregrine and Common Buzzard and indigenous
owls including Tawny, Barn, Little and Long-Eared. The day
consists of working with the birds in locations and settings
chosen specifically to compliment the seasons and the natural
environment of the 400 acre farm where the birds are based.
This means the opportunity to take classic shots such as the
Barn Owl on an old stone barn door, a Peregrine feeding on
a slate cliff and a Great Grey Owl flying down the barrel
of your lens! All this safe in the knowledge that the birds
aren't going anywhere so you'll have plenty of time to compose
your shots, with maximum effort to hide away all jesses etc
also. All in all it's a day which will guarantee to fill up
your Compact Flash Cards or films, and give you some good
pictures and memories as well.
