Q How long have you been interested in Photography? My first camera was a box brownie, been taking pictures off and on ever since.

Q Why did you start taking pictures? What else could I do with a camera?

Q What was the first picture you took, that you can remember? Probably family, I started to be serious about photography when I started work and bought my first “real” camera. A paxette 120 roll file taking 21/4 square negs folding camera . Got into slides when I bought my first 35mm camera, rangefinder with interchangeable lenses, in Germany doing National service.

Q Have you any other interests? Music, theatre, travel,

Q What was the first camera you owned? Brownie box

Q Which piece of equipment could you not live without? Not sure if there is one but I would be seriously challenged without my 100/400, 105 macro and 12/24 macro

Q What equipment do you use now? Canon 10D and 30D

Q How long have you been a member of OPS? No sure seems a long time

Q What are the rewards of being a member of OPS? Good company, challenging photographically

Q Have you been a member of other camera clubs? yes

Q What would you say was the hardest picture you ever took? None come to mind

Q What is your most successful picture? No one stands out but over the past few years I have had one or two like Cathedral light and Black beauty which gained acceptances in most exhibitions.

Q What was the worst picture you ever took? Too many shots finished up in the bin to pick out one

Q What are your favourite subjects? Wild life, small and large, landscape

Q If you could take a picture again which one would it be? Two fighting mongoose. I only got one and three quarters in the frame
